The Process
The Experience You Deserve
Phase 1: On-Site & Estimating
Preliminary Planning
We meet and get clarity on the scope of work. We develop the preliminary budget estimate. It is beneficial to discuss budget and times lines, ask questions and have a good understanding of the work we intend to complete as well as the quality of finishings that has been estimated for your project. At this phase of the renovation or remodeling journey, no selections have been made so it is important that our clients understand our standard of workmanship and materials.
Phase 2: Project Approvals
Contracts
We have a comprehensive contract we will provide you to ensure you are confident moving forward with Marin Construction. Along with these contract, upon request, we will provide you with all our insurances, prepaid contractor license, WCB, educational achievements.
All of the information that protects our clients and their home for the duration of their remodeling project. Within our contract we will layout warranties and payment schedules.
Phase 3: Construction Planning
Design, Materials, Scheduling & Permitting
Our designer will work closely with you to finalize layouts and material selections. This will include specific materials, finishes, fixtures and layout details that reflect your style. We will finalize materials and confirm we are meeting budget prior to ordering and scheduling for piece of mind.
Time spent at the beginning of the renovation project ensures an enjoyable experience and a final result that exceeds expectations.
Phase 4: Site Preparation
Trade Meetings & Demolition
We establish site access, set up safety protocols and meet with all our trades people. We are proud of the relationships we have built over the years with our specialty trades, these relationships are invaluable to our company. We support local and hire local trades people. We will complete any demolition which can often include a discovery phase in more complex renovations.
Phase 5: Construction
Building & Management
Framing, service rough-ins begin. Your renovation will start to become more of a reality as you see the changes happen. You will soon see drywall, paint and all the finishing touches. All the time spent making selections starts to create the beautiful space that was designed for you and your family.
Our hands-on approach gives our crew a unique real-time approach of the progress of your home renovation. We will oversee all quality control and ensure the final design is followed through with the highest of standards.
Phase 6: Completion
Final Inspections & Client Walkthrough
Before you even step into your new home, we do an internal walkthrough to identify and correct any deficiencies, making sure the house is truly ready.
Once we have completed our own inspections, we meet you at your home and discuss every component—systems, finishes, maintenance, and anything else relevant to the work we’ve done. You’ll see the Marin difference. We welcome you to your new home!
